Silas is a partner and CEO of Mar Vista Investment Partners and has 33 years of investment experience. He serves as a portfolio manager/analyst and is a member of the investment team. Before starting Mar Vista in 2007, Silas spent seven years as a portfolio manager and analyst at Roxbury Capital Management. He was also an equity analyst and product specialist at Hotchkis and Wiley, where he performed in-depth industry and company analysis. He began his career as a vice president and portfolio manager at Utendahl Capital Management. He has a B.A. in psychology and an M.B.A., both from Harvard University. He is also a Robert A. Toigo Foundation Alumnus.

Robert is a partner and serves as Chief Operating Officer for Mar Vista. He joined the firm in 2009 and has an extensive background in technology with over 29 years of experience. Robert is based in our Minnesota office where he oversees the Firm’s operations including trading, finance, technology, and portfolio accounting.
Prior to joining Mar Vista, Robert worked for Metro Machine and Engineering, a company specializing in the medical device manufacturing industry. He spent nearly 10 years as one of their key people responsible for managing technology. Robert began his career at Rockwell Collins in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, where he worked with the engineering team responsible for the software used to control the flight displays on the Boeing 747-400.
Robert has a B.S. in management and network administration from Crown College in St. Bonifacius, Minnesota and an M.B.A. from Bethel University in St. Paul, Minnesota.

Brian is a partner and President of Mar Vista Investment Partners and has 32 years of investment experience. He serves as a portfolio manager/analyst and is a member of the investment team. Prior to starting Mar Vista in 2007, Brian spent 10 years as both a portfolio manager and analyst, and was Director of Research at Roxbury Capital Management. Before coming to Roxbury, Brian was a management consultant in KPMG Peat Marwick’s Corporate Finance and Strategic Consulting group. He has a B.S. in economics from Johns Hopkins University and an M.B.A. from The Anderson School of Management at the University of California, Los Angeles.

Josh was also an analyst with Harvey & Company, covering mergers and acquisitions and an associate in forensic accounting at Tucker Alan. Jeff is a partner and has 24 years of investment experience. He serves as a portfolio manager/analyst and is a member of the investment team. Before joining Mar Vista Investment Partners in January 2009, he was an analyst covering technology and energy stocks at Roxbury Capital Management. Jeff joined Roxbury from Seneca Capital Management, where he was a technology and energy analyst for more than five years. He began his career in finance at Prudential Securities as an associate analyst covering enterprise software companies. Prior to entering the investment industry in 1999, Jeff was a senior consultant with Arthur Anderson Business Consulting. Jeff earned his undergraduate degree at the University of Colorado at Boulder and has an M.B.A. from the University of Southern California.

Kathleen is a partner and serves as Chief Compliance Officer for Mar Vista Investment Partners. For the past 6 years, she worked as Compliance Analyst and then Senior Compliance Analyst and was responsible for assisting in the development, execution and documentation of the Firm’s compliance program. Prior to joining Mar Vista in 2016, Kathleen began her investment career with Roxbury Capital Management in 1991 and held roles in administration, marketing and compliance. Located in Mar Vista’s Los Angeles office, she is responsible for the administration of the Firm’s regulatory program.

Lisa joined Mar Vista in 2023 as Head of Distribution and Marketing and has 25 years of experience in financial services. She is responsible for leading the distribution of Mar Vista’s strategies to institutional and retail investors.
Prior to joining Mar Vista, Lisa was a Managing Director responsible for institutional sales and consultant relations at SEIX Investment Advisors. Before joining SEIX in 2020, Lisa was a Director within BlackRock’s Institutional Client Business where she was responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with institutional investors. Prior to joining BlackRock in 2013, Lisa was a Vice President in the Municipal Finance Department at RBC Capital Markets where she provided investment banking services to large municipal issuers in the Eastern Region. Before joining RBC Capital Markets, Lisa was a Director at American Express focused on mergers and acquisitions strategy and new business development. Lisa also worked as an Associate in the Leveraged Finance Group with a focus on the healthcare sector at BNP Paribas. She began her career as an Analyst in the Municipal Structured Finance Group at Fitch Ratings.
Lisa has a B.A. from Amherst College, a M.P.A. from NYU Wagner Graduate School of Public Service and an M.B.A. from Columbia Business School.
